At Subsea Propulsion Systems we strive to build the most reliable, durable and diver friendly DPV’s possible. We believe that while a DPV can add a huge new dimension to diving both in exploration range and diver enjoyment, at the end of the day a DPV is a tool that can get you many places and the most important place it can get you is home.To that end we believe in designs that are tested and true, we believe in both mechanical and electronic fail safe measures. We constantly strive to hand build with the best materials we can find and to deliver the best product possible.

Greg Hilliard and Richard Kelch are both keen divers with decades of experience behind them. They have both been trained for years in deep diving, cave diving, DPV use and CCR. Both are rated ship’s masters and dive extensively in the Great Lakes in the summer months and warmer locales in the winter. In 2023 they launched Subsea Propulsion Systems to continue the support and development of the vaunted scooters originally developed by Submerge Scooters.
